Rosemary Todman

Rosemary was born in Adelaide and grew up in Noble Park. As a teenager she saw a small painting of geraniums in a Dandenong Gallery. The artist was John Balmain and the painting made a lasting impression and although she did not know it at the time it would mean a life time commitment to a unique world of observation and self discovery.

Rosemary says, “I was fortunate to have been trained in tonal observation. Because of this she is able to paint anything as the method does not vary, only the subject”.
Rosemary began teaching and painting professionally in 1984, and taught at the Mc Clelland Guild of Artist and other groups. Rosemary has received many awards over the years and has work represented in private collections in Europe, America, England and Australia. Rosemary has been published in Australian Artist more than once. Rosemary exhibits at Flinders and Sorrento Fine Art Galleries on the Mornington Peninsula.
