His work depicts the unique character associated with a specific area of landscape and has the gift of bringing forth its charm and individuality. Ron studied Fine Art at the University of Cape Town and has also painted with private tutors and students of the Italian painter Annigoni (portrait painter to the Queen). He completed a 6 year lithographic apprenticeship at the Argus Group of Companies in South Africa.

Ron has had a diverse career as Art Director/Owner of the well known Manyung Gallery in Mount Eliza. He has painted theatrical murals in South Africa and for the Moomba Festival in Melbourne.

He has had many solo exhibitions and is represented in private and institutional collections both in Australia and overseas.
