Catherine Hamilton

Catherine Hamilton, born in Surrey, England, received most of her basic training at The Epsom School of Art and also part time studies in life drawing. Later Catherine worked alongside highly regarded artists, including Ken Paine. Catherine held two solo shows and several mixed shows whilst in the UK, and won several awards.

Now a resident in Australia, Catherine has been painting professionally for 14 years and for much of that time has been teaching. Her long term plans are to continue giving talks and demonstrations and is also planning to organize trips overseas with groups of artists teaching various aspects of drawing and painting. Catherine is also interested in writing, her first article being published in the Pastel International magazine.

Catherine was one of the finalists for the Overseas Grant at the Camberwell Art Show.
